The Executive Committee members were selected to achieve a balance of representation across the CFAR (UCLA, CDU, Harbor-UCLA, West LA VA), the thematic research areas of focus (Prevention, Treatment and ART-Free Remission) and to allow for coordination with other key programs (CTSI and CHIPTS).
The Executive Committee advises the Leadership Group through monthly meetings and provide guidance on the evolving needs of CFAR members from the perspective of the institutions they represent and their areas of research expertise. This includes determining focus areas for pilot project grants, hosting visiting speakers, and evaluation of Cores with respect to needs of all CFAR investigators.
