Eric Daar, MD
Dr. Daar is Chief of the Division of HIV Medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and Professor of Medicine at DGSOM. He has devoted his career to treating patients with HIV infection and studying the pathogenesis of acute and chronic infection, as well as further defining the optimal management of HIV infection and its complications. He has been involved on numerous leadership roles through the ACTG, previously served as the Chair of the Antiretroviral Therapy Strategies Subcommittee of the ACTG, is currently a member of the SASC and has been site PI for the California Clinical Treatment Group and the NIDA Clinical Trials Network. He also serves as member of Internal Scientific Advisory Board for the CTSI. In addition, he is a Panel member of the Department of Health and Human Services Adult and Adolescent HIV Treatment and the NIH COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines. He will serve as the representative of Harbor UCLA on the EC and share his expertise in HIV therapeutics in the CFAR leadership.
