(HIV Activist, Advocate, Philanthropist, Motivational Speaker)

Onalethata is a woman positively living with HIV, an HIV Activist, Youth Advocate, Philanthropist, a volunteer at heart, and Inspirational Speaker. Her activism started after she went public with her HIV status in 2015 and founded an organization called Positive Moments. She studied Associate Degree in Public Relations at University of Limkokwing. She is passionate about improving, empowering, educating people affected and infected with HIV lives, on issues such as HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support, self acceptance, disclosure, stigma and discrimination, mental health, living positively with HIV, behavioral change and healthy lifestyles. She came up with campaigns such as Boloto Must Fall and Wrap it, You can Have it All with Treat All, Yes She Can, Happy Feet Happy Kids, Normalising HIV in the era of COVID 19.

She serves on two advisory boards: Botswana-UPenn Partnership and UCLA/Charles R. Drew University CFAR. She also served on Botswana Network of People Living with HIV (BONEPWA) board. She has been nominated by American Embassy as PEPFAR Hero, and also selected as an International Visitors Leadership program and a Treat All Champion. She currently resides in Gaborone, Botswana.
