Nipher Malika, PhD MPH


Nipher Malika, PhD MPH, is a social epidemiologist and a policy researcher at the RAND Corporation with extensive background in community based participatory research among marginalized, minority and immigrant populations. Her research interests lie in addressing health inequities among marginalized and underserved populations, with a particular focus on African immigrants and women’s health. Her current HIV research aims to: 1) understand the dynamics of network changes over time and their impact on HIV prevention behavior and outcomes, particularly in Uganda, and 2) culturally adapt two established HIV prevention interventions for utilization by African-born women in the United States.
