Laura M. Bogart, PhD, Senior Behavioral Scientist at RAND and Professor of Psychiatry at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, uses principles of community-based participatory research to develop behavioral HIV interventions in the US and sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on leveraging social support to address intersectional stigma and medical mistrust. She is a member of the UCLA-CDU Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) Community Engagement and Clinical Informatics Core, for which she is co-chair of the Global Community Advisory Board (CAB). She has a PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and is a Fellow in the American Psychological Association and the Society of Behavioral Medicine.
