Kathie Ferbas, PhD
Dr. Ferbas will lead the day-to-day Scientific Administrative efforts of the Administrative Core, including serving as primary contact for all CFAR scientific issues, helping to build collaborative research projects among faculty across all disciplines, managing scientific content of all progress reports and supplement applications, responding to research based requests for information and referrals, supervising the public relations manager, and serving as scientific liaison to the UCLA Development Offices. She has over 20 years’ experience in HIV Research and management of NIH funding, both as an NIH supported PI and as a previous CFAR Scientific Administrator. Her 20+ years at UCLA working with many CFAR Faculty members provides a strong basis for understanding and responding to the needs of CFAR investigators.
