Immunology

The Immunology Core provides sophisticated immunology assays and expert consultation and educational opportunities to the HIV research community, develops specialized immunology research tools, and initiates and stimulates innovative research projects that address emerging questions in HIV research.

Specific Aims

  1. Provide state-of-the-art immunology services to support HIV research and expand capacity for services that support CFAR goals.
  2. Evaluate new technologies applicable to emerging research questions of CFAR investigators.
  3. Support research, education and mentoring to build capacity at resource poor international sites.
  4. Provide mentoring, training and education in translational immunology and provide leadership to improve Core utilization, efficiency and promote Core collaborations.
