- Vouchers for Biostatistical Support: Provided by the UCLA CTSI BERD program and UCLA DOMStat, for UCLA and partner institutions like Harbor UCLA and Charles Drew University. Services offered include study design (sample size assessment, study endpoint evaluation), support for data collection infrastructure (assisting in developing case report forms, creating databases using REDCap), data management (including data quality control and formatting), data analysis (creating and executing data analytic plans), and manuscript preparation (reporting results, developing figures and tables, crafting methods sections). - Voucher for UCLA Flow Cytometry Core services: Aimed at unfunded ESIs to access services for pilot data experiments. This voucher enables the use of specialized equipment in the Flow Cytometry Core, like the Helios CyTOF Mass Cytometer or sorting of HIV infected cells. - Voucher for CFAR Core Services: The UCLA-CDU CFAR Centralized Laboratory Support Core offers complimentary consultation and voucher credits to ESIs for core services and/or instrumentation to acquire pilot data for grant submissions. Incubator Awards. $10K max, no research allowed.
For any HIV researcher to hold meetings, think tanks, conferences, seminars, workshops etc. designed to forge new collaborations in innovative arenas relevant to HIV disease.
Rapid Response Awards. $5K max, for research prep.
Fund projects that require a rapid response and addresses emerging areas of HIV research. To support collaborations and innovative ideas, including feasibility studies and gathering preliminary data, to meet the rapidly changing needs in the field.
Travel Grants. $1,000 to $3,000, domestic and international.
Support domestic and international travel, to present HIV-related research at scientific conferences, or engage in collaborations that may instigate and initiate new HIV research projects.
