Morreah Champo


Morreah Champo is a Health Researcher, Biomedical Scientist, and Alumina of the Global Health Leadership program at Charles R Drew University, under the Rise Up! Project in Zambia. Rise Up! focuses on combating HIV/AIDS among Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW). She is driven by biomedical interventions targeting HIV/AIDS eradication, particularly among Adolescents and Young People. Her research interests focus on infectious diseases, including HIV/AIDS vaccine development, and the implementation of tailored strategies for diverse populations. She works with the Zambia National Public Health Institute (ZNPHI) under the Antimicrobial Resistance Coordinating Committee. Further, she serves as a research assistant in a mental health pilot study under UCLA (Friendship Bench) aimed at enhancing Antiretroviral Therapy adherence and Viral Load suppression among AGYW with a history of Gender-Based Violence. As we approach the 2030 deadline, Morreah is committed to making significant contributions toward meeting the UNAIDS 95 95 95 set goals.
