As the UCLA-CDU CFAR is restricted to submitting 2 applications for the first three project categories, a selection process will be held. If you are interested in applying to one of the first three project categories, please submit a letter of intent by Monday 03/27/23.

Letters of intent must be no longer than 2 pages, and must include the following:
A. Name, degrees, and full contact information (email, phone, mailing address) of PI and co-investigator(s)
1. Please note that the Supplement PI MUST be an early career investigator who has never received an R01-equivalent, P-series or U-series research grants, OR an established investigator new to HIV. Post-doctoral fellows are eligible to apply if they will assume a faculty position by the time the supplement project and funding begins.
B. Which topic your project addresses (see NOA for more information on each topic):
1. Formative, intervention, and implementation research to explore delivery of long-acting PrEP in populations who may benefit
2. HIV and co-morbidities: Identification of mechanisms and strategies for optimal care that also reduce disparities
3. Community-led research topic
C. Specific Aims

Please note that this a short timeframe –the final draft would be due by 04/10, where it’ll go to OCGA, and then we’ll submit to NIH on 04/17.
